How to Study in Turkiye Without IELTS?

There are a few ways you can study in Turkey without taking the IELTS exam:

Take Duolingo: Several Turkish Universities and colleges accept the Duolingo English Language Test. It is easier and cheaper than IELTS.

Previous Degree in English: If your previous degree (bachelor’s or master’s) was taught entirely in English, many Turkish universities will waive the IELTS requirement.

You will need to provide an official document from your previous university stating that the language of instruction was English.

University-Specific English Exams: Some universities in Turkey offer their own English proficiency exams. These exams are usually less expensive and time-consuming than the IELTS.

Native English Speaker: If you are a Citizen of an English English-speaking country such as the UK, USA, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or countries where English is an Official language then you can also study without IELTS.

Conclusion: If you are interested in studying in Turkey, I recommend doing your research. Students with Medium or Low grades should target the Universities that are in smaller cities. You can also contact the universities directly to ask about their English language requirements and application procedures.
