About the Internship
The internship will support WHO’s work on the WHO Report on the Global Tobacco Epidemic (GTCR), a flagship report that tracks progress in tobacco control across WHO Member States.
The selected intern will work under the supervision of a technical expert and may contribute to:
- Proofreading and cross-checking reports
- Data validation and analysis
- Web research and data collection
- Organizing and validating data and documents
- Preparing information for the report
- Supporting the launch of the report
- Participating in ongoing departmental projects
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Have completed the equivalent of at least three years of full-time university study in a health or data-science-related field before starting the internship.
- Be currently enrolled in a university programme leading to a formal qualification.
- Applicants who have already graduated may also be considered if they apply within 18 months of completing their qualification.
- Be familiar with commonly used programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of specialised statistical or data-analysis software can be an advantage.
- Have expert knowledge of English.
