Selected participants will be invited to join the fully-funded Asia-Europe Youth Summit on Science and Technology Diplomacy between 19 and 24 October 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia. This prestigious program brings together young professionals, researchers, diplomats, and science-policy practitioners from Asia and Europe to strengthen collaboration at the intersection of science, technology, innovation, and international diplomacy. There are no application fees involved, and all the expenses are covered.

Format & Structure of Program
The 2026 edition includes two main components:
- Online Training (September – October 2026)
A 6-week interactive learning program focused on Science & Technology Diplomacy, cross-cultural communication, and international cooperation. - Youth Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia (19–23 October 2026)
Selected applicants from online training will participate in a fully in-person gathering where selected participants will engage in high-level discussions, workshops, and co-create a youth policy communiqué on Asia-Europe cooperation in science and technology.
Number of Participants
100-120 participants will be invited to join the online Training, with 40 being invited to join the Youth Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key Objectives
The program aims to:
- Foster knowledge exchange between Asia and Europe
- Build skills in science and technology diplomacy
- Strengthen international youth networks
- Support collaboration on global scientific and innovation challenges
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizens of eligible Asian and European countries* up to 35 years old
- Excellent command of English (Verbal and written) and of the official language of the selected country
- Currently working as a Research or Science Manager (Civil Society) or a Diplomat or Government Official (Government) in one of the eligible Asian and European Countries.
Selection Criteria
Selection criteria such as motivation to participate and demonstrated experience in Science and Technology Diplomacy.
