In this post, I will tell you the list of BS MS PhD Scholarships in Japan in 2024 Without IELTS. In Japan, the Japanese Government and the University Funded scholarships offer scholarships. Scholarships in Japan are available for all levels and in all academic fields. Right now international students can also apply for the Japanese Government Fully Funded MEXT Scholarship.

1) MEXT Embassy Recommendation Scholarship for Masters, and PhD

MEXT is the largest scholarship in the Japanese Government. It is open to all the nationals of the countries that have diplomatic relations with Japan. The scholarship covers all the expenses and you can apply without IELTS.

2) MEXT Undergraduate Scholarship (Embassy Track)

Those who want to pursue a fully funded undergraduate degree program from a Japanese university can apply for the MEXT Undergraduate Scholarship Program. The scholarship will cover all the expenses and there is no application fee. No IELTS is required.

3) Honjo International Foundation Scholarship

The Honjo International Foundation Scholarship is for those students who are unable to secure a scholarship in any Japanese University. The Honjo Scholarship covers Tuition and a monthly Stipend for living expenses. To get this scholarship you need to get an acceptance into a Japanese graduate school program.

4) Joint Japan World Bank Scholarship

This is a Fully Funded Master’s Degree scholarship Jointly Funded by the World Bank and Japan for international students from a developing country. The List of the developing countries by the World Bank is listed here

5) Rotary Peace Fellowship 

The fellowship includes a master’s degree program and a Professional development certificate program—50 scholarships for master’s and 80 fellowships for short certificate programs. Students can apply for the Rotary Fellowship to pursue a master’s degree program at International Christian University.

6) Asian Development Bank (ADB) Scholarship at Japanese Universities

Every year ADB offers around 300 master’s degree scholarships. The ADB Scholarships are fully funded and available in different Japanese Universities. International students from ADB member countries can apply for this fully funded scholarship to study in Japan.
