Applications are now open for the Erasmus Mundus ILSPSD Scholarship 2027. This is a 2-year, full-time Erasmus Mundus Joint Master that combines international law with peace, security, sustainability, human rights, politics, and global governance. The program is delivered by a consortium of six leading European universities, allowing students to study in three or more European countries during the program. Students can apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship, which provides €1,400 per month for 24 months, along with support for travel, visa, installation, and subsistence costs. Program Structure

The Master’s program lasts 24 months and includes at least three mobility periods across Europe.

Semester 1: Germany

Students begin at Leuphana University of Lüneburg in Germany.

Students can follow either:

  • LL.M. track: International Law of Security, Peace & Sustainable Development
  • M.A. track: International Law of Security, Peace & Sustainable Development

Semester 2: Spain

Students continue at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) in Barcelona.

The focus is on Theories of International Security, alongside elective courses covering areas such as:

  • European Human Rights Law
  • International Criminal Law

Semester 3: Choose Your Specialisation

Students select a specialised study track at one of four partner universities:

Semester 4: Dissertation

The final semester is dedicated primarily to research and dissertation work at the university where the student completed Semester 3. Students may also have the opportunity to undertake a work placement.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a completed undergraduate degree from a fully accredited higher education institution
  • Have a minimum of 180 ECTS or equivalent
  • Have a degree that provides access to Master’s-level studies in the country where it was awarded
  • Meet the academic requirements of the selected study track
  • Meet the English-language requirements
  • Submit all required documents before the deadline
