Call for Applications—The Hansen Leadership Institute 2027 is a Fully Funded 3-week summer exchange program for all international students and U.S. Citizens at the University of San Diego, California. IELTS is not required. The Hansen Summer Institute will cover all expenses. There is no application fee. As the name suggests, it is a leadership program. Your academic background does not matter. Show your leadership skills and ideas, and relate them to the program’s objective. The Vision of the HLI is to create a peaceful world through international cooperation. This program will focus on Internal Cooperation, developing leadership skills, and how to create a Peaceful world.

The Hansen Summer Institute is funded by the Fred J. Hansen Foundation. The program covers:

Who can apply for the Hansen Leadership Institute?
- The Hansen Leadership Exchange Program is open to Undergraduate and Graduate students from all around the world.
- The Hansen Leadership program is a mix of classroom instruction, hands-on workshops, and field trips.
- Students learn about a variety of leadership topics, including conflict resolution, mediation, intercultural dialogue and management, social entrepreneurship, and public speaking.
Eligibility Criteria for International Applicants (NON-US)
- Undergraduate students who have completed two years of higher education.
- Graduate students with a professional interest in international relations, diplomacy, international economic development, or related fields.
- Students must be between the ages of 20 and 25 at the start of the program.
- Show your leadership activities.
- GPA is not a part of the selection criteria.
- Letter of Recommendation from the Academic Advisor.
- Have a valid international passport.
- Preference will be given to those who have never visited the United States.
Eligibility Criteria for U.S. Students
- Â Students from any university in the United States.
- Undergraduate with 2 years of college/university.
- Graduate students with a professional interest in international relations, diplomacy, international economic development, or related fields.
- Students must be between the ages of 20 and 25 at the start of the program.
Selection and Result
The selection committee will start reviewing international student applications in February, and results will be emailed to all applicants in mid to late March.
