Are You Ready to Spend Your Summer 2026 in Germany? Applications are now open for the HZB International Summer Program 2026. It is a Fully Funded Eight-week summer program in Berlin from 6 July to 28 August 2026. The HZB summer program will take place at the HZB Campuses in Berlin. Fellows will get an opportunity to work on their own research project in close cooperation with HZB scientists in the field. The good thing about the HZB International Summer Student Program (ISSP) is that there is NO application fee or IELTS, and applicants from all around the world are eligible to apply. Each year, 20 Bachelor’s and Master’s students participate in the Summer Program in Germany to work and do research on the Projects with the HZB scientists. More details are below.

- European Countries:
- Total Allowance (Meals, Accommodation, Other): €1000

HZB Summer Program Fields
The Participants will work with Scientists in the Fields of:
Photon Science, Photovoltaics, Solar Cells/Catalysis, Electrochemical Energy Storage, Quantum and Functional Materials, and Accelerator research.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to all students from all countries. EU Students and non-EU students can apply.
- You must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in a relevant field such as Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Structural Biology, Mathematics, Engineering, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline.
- You should have completed at least two years of full-time study at a university level.
- You must be available to participate fully in the program for the entire duration.
- Good English Communication Skills.
- You will need to provide a letter of recommendation from a professor or researcher familiar with your academic work.

Conditions of the Program
- Participation for the entire duration is mandatory.
- Working time: 40 hours/week.
- An internship contract of 8 weeks to work on your project.
