MTCP Scholarship 2024 by Malaysian Technical Cooperation

Applications are open for the MTCP Scholarship 2024 by Malaysian Technical Cooperation. The Malaysian Technical cooperation helps in the Development of Malaysia. The MTCP Scholarship is Funded by the Malaysian Government. Applicants from developing countries can apply for the Master’s degree programs in Malaysian Public and Private Universities. During the scholarship, you will also gain knowledge and skills that will contribute to the development of Malaysia country. IELTS is not required.

MTCP Scholarship has been moved to a New website. Now you can apply for the MTCP Scholarship through the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program website. Previously it was advertised on the Ministry of Higher Education website with the Malaysian International Scholarship (MIS). The duration of the MTCP scholarship is between 24 to 36 months for the Master’s Degree Program. More details about the MTCP Malaysia Scholarship 2024 are given below.

Financial Benefits

Recipients of the scholarship will get:

  • Full Tuition Fee Covered.
  • An Allowance worth RM3,500 per month.
  • One Round Trip Airfare is covered.

The Stipend of the MTCP Scholarship is double then the MIS Scholarship.

Areas of Study

Priority is given to courses in the following areas of study:

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (not including nursing, medicine, and clinical pharmacy)

  • Education
  • Environment
  • International Relations and Political Science
  • Social Science and Humanities

Eligibility Criteria

  • The scholarship is open to the Citizens of the MTCP recipient countries. An applicant must be a citizen of a developing country.
  • The age of the applicant should not be more than Not more than 45 years at the time of application.
  • An applicant must have completed a bachelor’s degree with a CGPA of 3.50

English Language Requirements

  • IELTS: 6.0
  • TOEFL: 60 or above
  • If you have obtained a previous degree(s) with English used as the medium of instruction then you can submit English Language Proficiency proof.

  • Application form (Fill online)
  • Latest Admission Offer Letter from Malaysian Universities for Academic Intake 2024 (if applicable)
  • Letter of Recommendation from two referees (Download the template from the MTCP website).
  • Statement of Intent
  • A certified copy of the Academic Transcript.
  • Record of all the courses taken throughout the degree program must be reflected in the academic transcripts
  • Applicants must submit transcripts of their undergraduate studies.
  • Applicants must submit an official document issued by the applicant’s alma mater describing the university’s grade system.
  • If an applicant’s transcript does not include information on CGPA, marks, or score percentile, the documents must be certified.
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • A certified copy of the English Language Proficiency test result.
  • Copy of Passport.
  • Medical examination report. (The template can be downloaded from the MTCP website).
