Another Summer Internship in Japan has been announced. The applications are now open for the NIG Summer Internship 2026 in Japan. This Summer Internship is open to international students from around the world. The Duration of the internship is approximately 40 days, running from June 8 to July 17, 2026. The Internship is open to Bachelor, and Master’s students who wish to gain research experience. All Interns will conduct independent research under the mentorship of NIG. There is no application fee. At the end of the internship, participants will give presentations and share their experiences about the NIG Internship. During the internship, participants will get the time to explore Japan and its culture and enjoy tasty Japanese Cuisine. Eligibility Criteria
- The Internship is open to all Nationals.
- There is no application fee.
- Applicants must be interested in life sciences.
- Applicant must be in a pre-final year of the degree program. For example:
- In the 3rd year of a 4-year bachelor’s program, in the 2nd year of a 3-year bachelor’s program, in the 4th year of a 5-year program, in the 1st year of a 2-year master’s program, or the 5th year of a 6-year program.
- Applicants must show their interest in genetics and related fields in life sciences.
