The Basic Eligibility and the Requirements of the ADB-JSP

Citizenship and Age:

  • You must be a citizen and current resident of an ADB Member country.
  • You must be no more than 35 years old at the time of application.

Academic Background:

  • You must hold a four-year bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) at the time of application. This could include:
    • Three-year bachelor’s degree combined with a one-year master’s degree.
    • Two-year bachelor’s degree combined with a two-year master’s degree. (Equivalency is subject to review by the program.)

Work Experience:

  • You must have at least two years of full-time professional work experience after completing your university degree.

English Language Proficiency:

  • You must have taken an English proficiency test within the past two years and achieved a minimum score of:
    • TOEFL (paper-based): 550
    • TOEFL (computer-based): 213
    • TOEFL iBT (internet-based): 79-80
    • Duolingo: 95
    • IELTS: 6.5

Application Process for the University of Hawaii ADB Scholarship?

The application process involves Two Parts:

Part 1 Admission Application: Before submitting the scholarship application, an applicant must have a Proof of admission from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

A separate application (including all required supporting documents) must be submitted to the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa for admission into a Master’s degree program.
