Applications are now open for the Woods Hole Summer Student Fellowship 2026 in the USA. The Woods Hole Summer Internship is a fully funded 10-week internship for international students from all countries. Each year, Woods Hole selects 25-30 students per summer. There is no application fee, and this is a Fully Funded Internship that covers all Expenses. The Woods Hole Internship is offered by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), located in Massachusetts. Candidates from a wide range of academic fields can apply. Internship Fields

Preference is given to students studying in any of the fields of:

  • Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Mathematics, Meteorology, Physics, Oceanography, Marine Policy, and other related fields.
  • Applicants should have a keen interest in ocean sciences, oceanographic engineering, or marine policy.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The Woods Hole Summer Fellowship is open to all International students.
  • Applicants must be undergraduate students who will have completed their junior year by the start of the fellowship.
  • Graduates are not eligible.
  • Students in a three-year Bachelor’s program should be in their second year.
  • Those in a five-year combined Bachelor’s/Master’s program should be in their third year.
