MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2026 (Fully Funded by Foreign Affairs)

The Largest Fellowship by the Taiwanese Government. The applications for the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2026 are open. This International Fellowship is funded by the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Fellowship is open to international Foreign Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Post-Doctoral researchers, Doctoral Candidates, or candidates enrolled in a Doctoral program to carry out research in universities or academic institutions in Taiwan. The research must be related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, the Asia-Pacific region, and Sinology (Chinese studies). By the year 2025, the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship had accepted over 1500 scholars hailing from 93 different countries. The duration of the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship is from 3 to 12 months.
