Intern Responsibilities
Media Relations & Monitoring (20%)
- Targeting Swiss-German Outlets: Develop and maintain the Swiss/French media database, with a specific focus on identifying Swiss-German contacts.
- Media Digest: Research and prepare a weekly media digest tracking how Swiss (especially Swiss-German) and French outlets cover development topics and quote UNDP.
- Press Support: Support bi-weekly press briefings and prepare specific research/background notes for the UNDP representative.
2. Digital Communications & Audiovisual (40%)
- Social Media: Research, produce, and amplify content (including audiovisuals) on the UNDP Geneva X account to support institutional positioning and resource mobilization.
- Web Content: Research, develop, and publish web stories to highlight donor impact and ensure the UNDP Geneva website is updated weekly for local audiences.
3. Engagement with Swiss Parliamentarians (40%)
- Stakeholder Analysis: Research and develop profiles on key Parliamentarians to identify entry points for collaboration.
- Strategy & Activation: Identify engagement opportunities and develop concept notes (e.g., targeted mailings, briefings).
- On-site Support: Provide practical support for in-person activations in Bern during Parliamentarian sessions, including exhibitions and briefings with Swiss-German partners.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated experience in Communications.
- Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Canva).
- Familiarity with data analytics.
