The Polonista NAWA Scholarship is designed to promote the Polish Language and Culture, and popularise Polish studies and research among international students. Participants will carry out the research projects lasting from 3 to 12 months in literary studies, Polish language teaching, history, art history, and comparative studies. Overview of the Polonista NAWA 2026 Scholarship
This program promotes Polish language and culture by supporting international students (Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD) and researchers.

Tracks
The scholarship is divided into two main tracks:
- Incoming Offer (For Foreigners)
- Students: Those studying Polish philology or Slavic studies abroad who want to spend a semester or two in Poland.
- Scientists: Researchers from foreign academic centers who wish to conduct research in fields like Polish linguistics, history, or art history.
- Outgoing Offer (For Polish Citizens)
- Researchers/Teachers: Polish scholars can receive funding to teach or conduct research at foreign institutions that offer Polish studies or Slavic studies programs.

How to Apply for the Polonista NAWA 2026 Scholarship?
- Find a Host University: Before applying, you must contact a Polish university and obtain a “Declaration of Host Institution” (an invitation or consent letter). The university must agree to host your studies or research.
