EU4Ocean Summer School 2026 in Italy (Fully Funded)

The applications are now open for the EU4Ocean Summer School 2026 on Ocean Literacy & Collaboration. It is a 5-day event (14th-18th of September) in the city of Milazzo (Italy) dedicated to exploring how to better collaborate on ocean-related projects and applying this knowledge to advance a sustainable blue economy in a coastal city. The summer school is open to applicants from all around the world. There is no fee, and IELTS is not required. Selected participants will receive funded benefits including accommodation, meals, and travel support. No IELTS is required, and there is no application fee.

Outcomes of the Program

The EU4Ocean Summer School will gather 25 youth from EU and non-EU European countries, including students from Master’s and PhD programs and Early Career Professionals:

  • To become familiar with the objectives and activities of the EU4Ocean Coalition and the Youth4Ocean Forum
  • To learn how to scale up efforts within the framework of the UN Ocean Decade
  • To understand how to effectively collaborate in the development of ocean-related projects
  • To explore the diversity of collaboration and improve communication in transdisciplinary and multicultural environments
  • To learn how to collaborate and contribute to advancing the sustainable blue economy
  • To gain insights into local ocean-related issues
  • To understand how to engage effectively with local institutions.
