The applications are now open for the Jan Michalski Switzerland Residency Program 2027 for applicants from around the world. This international residency offers writers the opportunity to live and work in a peaceful environment at the foot of the Swiss Jura Mountains in Montricher. The residency is designed to provide dedicated time and space for literary creation. Selected residents stay in private cabins overlooking Lake Geneva, the Alps, or the Jura Mountains. What is the Jan Michalski Foundation Residency?

The Jan Michalski Foundation Residency is a literary residency program created to support writers and people involved in the written word. The Foundation provides a dedicated environment where residents can start, continue, or complete a literary project.

The residency has seven residential cabins, offering writers an independent space to focus on their work. Six cabins overlook Lake Geneva and the Alps, while another faces the forested slopes of the Jura Mountains.

A portion of the residencies is also dedicated to nature writing, including fiction and creative nonfiction exploring nature, sustainability, and the relationship between humans and the environment.
