Applications are now open for the APSIG 2026 Fellowship, an international opportunity for individuals from the Asia-Pacific region interested in Internet Governance. The Asia Pacific School on Internet Governance (APSIG) brings together emerging leaders, professionals, researchers, academics, and civil society and government representatives to develop their knowledge, skills, and networks in Internet governance. The APSIG 2026 Fellowship will tentatively take place from 29 November to 3 December 2026 in Taipei, Taiwan. Selected fellows will receive financial support covering airfare reimbursement, meals, twin-shared accommodation, and visa fee reimbursement.

What is APSIG?
The Asia Pacific School on Internet Governance (APSIG) is a regional capacity-building initiative focused on strengthening participation in Internet governance. It brings together people from different professional and academic backgrounds to learn about Internet governance and participate meaningfully in related policy discussions and processes.
APSIG aims to help develop a more open, secure, and inclusive digital future for the Asia-Pacific region.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be 18 years old or above.
- Applicants must be from the Asia-Pacific region.
- Applicants should have a strong interest in Internet Governance.
- Professionals, academics, researchers, civil society members, and representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations are eligible.
- Applicants must have sufficient English proficiency, as the sessions will be conducted in English.
- Applicants should demonstrate relevant knowledge, background, or interest in Internet governance, such as participation in webinars, courses, meetings, or related activities.
- APSIG alumni are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants who regularly attend events without meaningful community contribution may not be preferred.
- Females, persons with disabilities, and members of other marginalized communities are encouraged to apply.
- Motivation and a plan for community engagement after the school are highly desirable.
