About the Role
This opportunity is designed for graduate students and recent graduates interested in international peace and security, disarmament, gender issues, youth engagement, and the United Nations. No professional work experience is required.
The selected Graduate Professional will support UNIDIR’s Integrated Approaches – Gender and Disarmament Programme through:
- Conducting background research
- Supporting meetings, workshops, conferences and field missions
- Assisting with communication and coordination
- Supporting administrative and programme-related tasks
- Preparing concise, high-quality written briefs
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in a graduate degree programme (Master’s degree or higher), OR
- Have graduated within the past year and be able to begin the programme within one year of graduation
- Demonstrate strong interest in international security, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, or UN-related work
- Possess strong analytical, research, and communication skills
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment
