The AFS Youth Assembly 2024 in New York City (NYC) is a fully funded conference this summer from 14th August to 18th August 2024. AstraZeneca supports this program to provide scholarships to Young leaders to attend a Climate Entrepreneurship Academy at AFS Youth Assembly. Through this program, candidates will get a chance to learn and gain experience in creating a healthier, and more sustainable future for people. Ideal candidates who are actively working, studying, or researching in the areas of climate issues can apply.
This Program is open to applicants from all around the world. AstraZeneca will provide scholarships to attend a “Climate Entrepreneurship Academy” at the 2024 AFS Youth Assembly in New York. The curriculum of the Climate Entrepreneurship Academy is developed and delivered by the New York University (NYU) with a series of seminars, and site visits to different organizations. What is Included in the AstraZeneca Scholarships?
AstraZeneca is providing fully funded scholarships to young leaders to attend the AFS Youth Assembly. The scholarship covers:
- Program Registration Fees
- Round Trip Airfare Travel
- 5 nights accommodation in a hotel in New York City.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Ideal candidates are the ones who are actively working, studying, or doing research in the areas of Climate Action, and climate issues and have the potential to positively impact health, build more resilient health systems, and improve equitable access to healthcare.
- Have never attended the AFS youth assembly before.
- Be between 18 – 32 years old* at the time of application.
- The scholarship is open to candidates from any country around the world.
- Applicants must be able to secure a Visa to travel to the United States.
