The Netherlands is a popular country in Europe and is a member of the European Union. We would like to tell you about the List of BS and MS Scholarships in Netherlands in 2024. There are a lot of scholarships for international students in Netherlands are available. Some are Financed by the Dutch Government and some are University-specific scholarships. According to Statistics, The University of Amsterdam (UvA) enrolls the most international degree students, followed by Maastricht University (UM) and the University of Groningen (RUG). As of the 2022/23 academic year, there were approximately 122,287 international students enrolled in the Netherlands Institutes. Strong education system, welcoming atmosphere. List of BS and MS Scholarships in Netherlands in 2024

1) NL Scholarship by the Dutch Government

This Scholarship is Funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. For non-EEA students pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees at participating universities.

37 Institutes are participating in this scholarship program. You can apply to any of these universities. You have to apply directly at the participating university.

2) University of Twente Scholarships (UTS)

UTS offers 50 scholarships to the master’s degree program. Various scholarships for international students with excellent academic records and diverse backgrounds.

3) Maastricht University Holland High Potential Scholarships

The Maastricht University Holland High Potential Scholarship is a Fully funded scholarship to study in the Netherlands. Each year they offer 24 full scholarships for international students.

The scholarship covers living expenses, health and liability insurance, visa application costs, tuition fees, and pre-academic training costs.

The University of Maastricht comes in 2nd in enrolling a high number of international students.

4) Leiden University Excellence Scholarship (LexS)

The Leiden University is popular in the Netherlands. The Leiden University offers a Tuition Fee scholarship for master’s degree students.

There are three available levels of awards:

  • € 10,000 of the tuition fee, € 15,000 of the tuition fee, Total tuition fee minus. the statutory tuition fee
  • Degree Level: Master’s Degree Scholarship
  • Deadline: 1 Feb for programs starting 1 Sept / 1 Oct for programs starting 1st Feb

5) TU Delft University Scholarships

TU Delft University offers Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarships for outstanding students from non-EU countries pursuing master’s degrees at TU Delft.

6) Radboud University Scholarships

The Radboud University scholarship is a Fully Funded scholarship for a complete English-taught Master’s degree program. The scholarship covers partial tuition fees, Visa costs, residence permits, and health insurance.

7) Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Scholarship

The Erasmus is a European Commission fully funded scholarship. It offers master’s and PhD degree programs. You can complete your degree in any three universities of Europe. There are many degree programs hosted in Netherlands Universities.

Part-Time Job Opportunities in the Netherlands

International students are allowed to work up to 16 hours per week without a permit. However, if you work more than 16 hours per week, you will need a work permit.

  • Hospitality: Restaurants, cafes, hotels, and bars are always looking for staff.
  • Retail: Shops, supermarkets, and department stores often hire part-time workers for sales, customer service, and stocking shelves.
  • Tutoring and language teaching: If you are fluent in English or another language, you can tutor students or teach language classes.
  • Data entry and administrative work: Companies often need help with data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks.
  • Babysitting and childcare: If you enjoy working with children, you can babysit or provide childcare for families.
  • Housekeeping and cleaning: If you are good at cleaning, you can offer housekeeping services to individuals or companies.
