Work Experience: Only the work you do after you’ve graduated from your degree will count towards the two-year work experience requirement for Chevening.

Eligibility Criteria
- You must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
- You need to commit to returning to your home country for at least two years after your scholarship finishes.
- You should have a minimum of two years (2,800 hours) of work experience.
- You must hold an undergraduate degree that allows you to pursue a master’s program in the UK.
- You need to apply to three different, eligible UK university courses. Crucially, you must receive an unconditional offer from at least one of these choices by the deadline for references and education documents on the application timeline.

Experience gained while studying will no longer be eligible. Work experience gained after graduation can include:
- Full-time employment
- Part-time employment
- Voluntary work
- Paid or unpaid internships
Chevening English Language Requirements

Select Three Courses
You will need to select three different master’s courses. These can be three different courses at the same institution or three similar courses at up to three different universities.
Choose your three courses carefully. You will not be able to change it later. Choose from the List of all Eligible courses.

You can apply for your university courses either before or after you submit your Chevening application – it’s completely up to you.
