The applications are now open for the DESY Summer Student Program 2026. This Fully Funded summer program is for Bachelor’s and Master’s students. Each year, DESY invites up to 100 students from all around the world to spend 8 weeks and get hands-on experience and training at a large international laboratory. The DESY Summer Program is taking place from 21st July to 10 September 2026. There is no application fee, and IELTS is not required. The selected students will carry out research in Physics or related disciplines such as computing and engineering in the DESY laboratory in Hamburg or Zeuthen (near Berlin). The DESY Summer Program is one of the best Fully Funded Summer Internships in Germany for international students. Eligibility Criteria
- Degree Stage: You should be either a final-year undergraduate student or a first-year Master’s student by the summer of 2026.
- Field of Study: You must have completed at least three years of Undergraduate studies in physics, a related natural science discipline, or computing.
- Master’s Degree: Applicants who have already completed a Master’s degree or will have completed one by summer 2026 are not eligible.
- Applicants enrolled in a Master’s program can apply.
- You should not have previously participated in a DESY summer student program.

- If you are not from an EU or EEA country, you will need a work permit to participate in the DESY Summer Student Program. Please submit the following documents in a single PDF file:

- Certificate of Enrollment: This document must be issued by your university.
- Declaration of Certificate of Enrollment: This mandatory document must be signed and stamped by your university.
