The applications are now open for the Erasmus Mundus NOHA Scholarship 2026/28. It is a fully funded master’s degree scholarship funded by the European Commission. Candidates from around the world are eligible to apply for the Erasmus NOHA program. It stands for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree Program in International Humanitarian Action. It was the first Master’s program in the area of humanitarian studies. The scholarship covers all the expenses, including Tuition fees, Visa, Travel, Transport, Stipend, and insurance. Objective of the Noha

The NOHA Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree Programme in International Humanitarian Action (NOHA) is designed for individuals who are currently working or intend to work in the humanitarian field, welcoming applicants regardless of their race, religion, age, or geographical origin.

Program Structure

  • NOHA Intensive Program: Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany
  • 1st Semester (Foundation Period): Home university
  • 2nd Semester (Specialisation Period): Any of the NOHA universities (Host university)
  • 3rd Semester (Contextualisation Period): This section covers two parts:
    • 1) Regional Training (30 ECTS)
    • Locations: Offered across 11 partner universities in the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Asia & Pacific, Africa, Latin America, and North America (e.g., Jordan, India, Thailand, Colombia, USA).
    • 2) Work Placement (30 ECTS)
      • Career Development Training (10 ECTS)
      • Placement (20 ECTS)
      • Location: Home university/Partner university/Humanitarian organisation
  • 4th Semester (Research Period): Home university.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates from around the world can apply for the Erasmus NOHA Program.
  • Candidates must have obtained, at a minimum, a university first-cycle degree (Bachelor’s).
  • The degree must be in a discipline relevant to humanitarian action, such as:
    • Medical sciences
    • Food sciences
    • Economics and management
    • Engineering
    • Law
    • Social sciences
    • Education sciences
    • Humanities
  • Satisfy the english language requirements.
