The applications are now open for the European Parliament Sakharov Fellowship 2026. It is a fully funded two-week training program for candidates from non-European countries. The Sakharov Fellowship program will be organised in person at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium. There is no application fee, and all the expenses, including return airfare, accommodation, and meals, are covered. The fellowship aims to develop the skills of Human Rights defenders and to provide in-depth training on European Union (EU) and international human rights frameworks, policies, and mechanisms to support human rights globally. Eligibility Criteria
