GIST Scholarship 2024 in South Korea (Fully Funded) (Fall Intake)

The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology is now accepting online applications for the Fall 2024 intake. The GIST Scholarship 2024 is open to Masters, Master Leading to Ph.D., and Doctoral Degree programs. Applicants from all around the world can apply. GIST is a popular university situated in Gwangju, South Korea. It was Ranked #1 in Korea for startup performance and entrepreneurship in 2023 and comes in the top 100 universities in the world. The fall intake will start in September 2024.

All international students are granted the GIST Scholarship without any separate application. The Scholarship includes tuition Fees, meals, accommodation, monthly stipend, health insurance, and Flight tickets. GIST University does not charge any application fee. Degree Programs and Duration

  • Integrated M.S. and Ph.D. Program (M.S./Ph.D.)

The maximum completion times for the M.S., Ph.D., and M.S./Ph.D. programs are three, seven, and eight, respectively.

Exemption of English Language Test Proficiency

All courses at GIST University are conducted in English. You can apply without the English language test. If you have been selected, you must submit your test score later.

If you have completed your bachelor’s degree in an English-speaking country (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, or the USA ), you are available to apply to GIST without an English Proficiency Test result.

Other than that, all applicants must submit an official English proficiency test score, such as TOEFL (IBT, PBT), IELTS, TOEIC, and TEPS.

  • TOEIC: 750
  • NEW TEPS: 285

The GIST University strongly recommends that you obtain the English test score because the Korean Immigration Service may require an English or Korean test score for a VISA application.

Required Documents from Students

  • Official degrees and transcripts are required or notarized copies are acceptable.
  • Two letters of recommendation must have the signatures and stamps of the recommenders.
  • The recommenders do not have to send the letters independently or separately.
  • Official English language test report.
  • A copy of the applicant’s passport is required.
