The applications are now open for the Ocean Leaders Fellowship 2026. It is a fully funded fellowship in Kenya for candidates from around the world. The Duration of the OLF program is 8 months and includes approximately 12 days of an international trip to Kenya from June 9 to 19, 2026. There is no application fee, and all the expenses are covered. 40 selected Fellows will participate in a fully funded, in-person international leadership institute. The 2026 Fellowship is focusing exclusively on the global 30×30 initiative. This campaign aims to protect 30% of the planet’s land and ocean by 2030. Fellows will work to accelerate national implementation of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and biodiversity targets.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old at the time of selection.
- Must be no older than 35 years old as of June 20, 2026 (the end of the in-person session).
- Requires a minimum C1 English proficiency to ensure effective collaboration.
- C1 English proficiency refers to the “Advanced” level on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
