Are you wondering about studying in Romania and looking for options? International students can apply for the Transilvania Academica Scholarship at Transilvania University. The scholarship is open to international students from non-EU or non-EEA countries. The scholarship is awarded to pursue a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree program. Romania is a European Union country; you can travel to other EU countries without requiring a Visa.
The Transilvania Academica Scholarship will cover your entire tuition fees and accommodation in the dormitories. The scholarship also includes a monthly allowance for living expenses. Students can do a Part-time Job for up to 20 hours per week. You can also apply for the Romania Government Scholarship 2024 because it is open till 16th March 2024. Objective of the Scholarship
- To Attract international students from non-European countries.
- To form a group of “Ambassadors” of Transilvania University and thereby increase the international visibility of our institution.
Scholarship Duration
The scholarship will be awarded for the full duration of the Bachelor, Master, and PhD degree programs.
Scholarship Amount
The scholarship covers:
- Tuition fees (including registration and graduation fees)
- Free Accommodation in the university’s dormitories (including holidays)
- a Monthly allowance of 800 lei (approx. 170 USD, including holidays)

The application file includes the following documents (in .pdf format):
- Curriculum vitae
- Motivation letter (maximum one page).
- Three letters of recommendation to support the candidate’s outstanding results.
How to Apply for the Transilvania Academica Scholarship?
The candidates have to fill in the online application form as described in the Application File section below. The selected candidates for the Transilvania Academica Scholarship will follow the Transilvania University admission procedure available here.
- Selected candidates for the scholarship will be notified by email by 31st May 2024.
- Students then apply online for the admission at the university from 20th May 2024 to 15th July 2024
