The Applications are open to apply for the UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2025 in Paris, France. This is the 47th Session of the World Heritage Committee. The forum is at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from 1st to 8th July 2025. The Forum is open to Candidates from all around the world. There is no application fee, and UNESCO will cover all the expenses, including Flights, Accommodation, Food, Visa, and Transport. The Main Objective of the UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum is to enhance the understanding of the Young Professionals in Protecting, preserving, and promoting the Natural and Cultural Heritage through the implementation of emerging technologies. UNESCO will select around 25 Young Professionals from diverse backgrounds. More details are below.

Theme of the Forum

“World Heritage in an interconnected world: Leveraging Digital Technologies and Innovative approaches.”

  • Young Professionals will learn how to protect and share important historical (World Heritage) places in today’s fast-changing world.
  • Young Professionals will learn and share ideas on how new technologies like AI, virtual reality, digital maps, and drones can help us keep these places safe and teach people about them.
  • They will also discuss finding new and creative ways to manage these places so they’ll be around for future generations.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Open to all Nationals.
  • Age: 23 to 32 years (born between June 30, 1993, and June 30, 2002, inclusive).
  • Experience: In architecture, archaeology, conservation, restoration, urban planning, art history, or heritage-related studies.
  • Digital Skills: Familiar with or experienced in digital technologies related to World Heritage.
  • Motivation: Motivated and committed to implementing the Forum’s outcomes in their home countries.
  • Community Engagement: Committed to enhancing community involvement in managing World Heritage sites.
  • Availability: Available for the entire duration of the Forum.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficient in English and/or French (as the Forum will be conducted in these languages).
