Applications are open for the United Nations Young Leaders Training Program. This program will offer participants a chance to get hands-on experience with the United Nations and provide them with knowledge and skills to unfold their potential as global leaders. The United Nations Young Leaders Online Training Program consists of a 4-week online course implemented on UNITAR’s e-learning platform. It covers crucial topics on the United Nations, Conference Diplomacy, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Cosmopolitan Communication.
The online training program is a more flexible option. Students can take any time requiring 4-6 hours of learning per week. The program also includes a 3.5-hour workshop on Leadership. The United Nations Young Leaders Training Program is open to all applicants related to international affairs to boost their leadership skills and enhance knowledge related to the UN and International Geneva. Modules of the United Nations Young Leaders Training Program
- Module 1: The United Nations

- Module 4: Cosmopolitan Communication
The course includes reading materials, and multimedia files as well as discussion and exchange of ideas with fellow participants and UNITAR instructors.
In addition to this, the Young Leaders Training program will also arrange 1.5-hour live webinars through Zoom by UN experts and comprise the following topics:
- Webinar A – The United Nations System
- Webinar B – The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Webinar C – Model United Nations (MUN) Training
- Webinar D – UN Career Development
Who can Apply?
- Open to all Youth from around the world.
- University students, high school students, and other motivated young leaders.
- Junior professionals from the public and private sectors and senior officials who are young at heart are equally welcome to apply.
Certificate from the UNITAR
At the end of the program, all participants will receive an official UNITAR certificate of completion.
