The OpenLab summer student Program is open to candidates of all nationalities. The duration of the program is 9 weeks (June-August 2024). CERN Openlab students will work on advanced IT projects and will be given a series of IT lectures specially prepared for them by experts at CERN and other institutes. The OpenLab participants will also have an opportunity to attend the main CERN Summer Student Program 2024 lectures.

CERN Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates from all nationalities can apply.
- You are a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree student with a strong computing profile.
- By summer 2024, you have completed at least 6 semesters.
- You will remain registered as a student during your stay at CERN.
- If you expect to graduate during the European summer of 2024 (as of May), you are also eligible to apply.
- You have a good knowledge of English and French.
Note: English Proficiency Test is Not Required.
