The New York Fellowship 2025 is a six-month program by the Asian Culture Council in New York City. The ACC New York Fellowship 2025 supports Artists and arts and culture professionals to enhance and develop their artistic practices and immerse themselves in the cultural life of New York City and the United States. From Archaeology to Architecture, Film, Video, Photography to Craft, and Dance, all fields under Artists, Arts, and Culture are eligible. The New York Fellowship aims to gather fellows from diverse cultures so that they get a better understanding of the different cultures and communities in New York City and the U.S. The fellowship will start in New York City either in January 2025 or in July 2025. The Fellows will receive a Grant of $35,000 from which they can cover the cost of Airfare, Visa, Housing, Living Expenses, Health Insurance, and other personal expenses.

Fellowship Duration
New York Fellows are expected to choose from one (1) of the following cohorts. The duration of the fellowship is 6 months.
- January – June 2026
- July – December 2026

Financial Benefits
ACC will award New York Fellowship grants of USD 35,000 for six (6) months.
Below are the Expenses given that are Automatically Deducted from the above Grant:
- USD 220 for the DS-2019 J-1 visa fees
- 150-USD 200 for mandatory travel health insurance
- $185 separately for their visa processing application (DS-160)
This means that the amount issued to New York Fellows after they arrive in New York maybe $15,580 – USD 16,630 (roughly USD 2,596 – USD 2,772/month for six (6) months) and $15,580 – USD 16,630.
- Fellows may choose to receive a USD 3,000 advance payment before they arrive in the U.S., to pay for travel-related expenses in advance.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Applicants must be at least 21 years old by the start of the fellowship.
- Experience: Fellows should have at least five years of experience in one of ACC’s eligible fields.
- Citizenship: U.S. citizens or permanent residents are not eligible to apply.
- Enrolled Students can not apply.
- Previous Participation: Previous New York fellows cannot reapply.
