The Asia Foundation LeadNext Program in San Francisco is a network of future leaders from Asia and the United States to address today’s greatest challenges. This new program focuses on global citizenship for the 21st century such as climate crises, reducing conflict, and empowering communities. With the upcoming shifts in geopolitics, global governance, the economy, and society, a new generation of globally-minded leaders is essential. The LeadNext program will select 20 young emerging leaders from various disciplines and cultures to equip them with skills and knowledge and gain valuable experience and leadership skills. Components of Asia Foundation LeadNext Program
- Leadership Training Intensive: (February and March 2025)
- Monthly Virtual Masterclasses: (March to June 2025)
- Travel to San Francisco, USA (Week of July 14, 2025): Fellows will Travel to the United States for the Global Leaders Summit. The Location is the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Mentorship: Fellows are paired with experienced mentors for further development.

Eligibility Criteria
- The Fellowship is open to emerging leaders from any sector with a strong commitment and creative approaches to address issues such as climate change, inequality, injustice, poverty, or other pressing issues.
- 18-25 years old throughout the program year.
- Fluency in English.
- 10 Asians + 10 Americans will participate.
- Attendance at all sessions is mandatory.
