The 2025 Global Korea Scholarship for Undergraduate degree programs is now open. The GKS Korean Government Undergraduate Scholarship 2025 is a Fully Funded scholarship by the Government of South Korea. For this scholarship, IELTS is not required. This year, the number of scholarships has been increased to 367. Through the Embassy Track, 87 scholarships, and the University Track, 280 scholarships for international students. In the embassy track, you have to apply through the Korean Embassy where you hold citizenship (embassy track). Yes. The Call for GKS Graduate for Master’s and PhD programs will open in February 2025.
Duration of Program
- Associate Degree: 1 year of the Korean language program, 2~3 years of the degree program
- Undergraduate Degree: 1 year of the Korean language program, 4~6 years of the degree program

Eligibility Criteria for the GKS Undergraduate Scholarship 2025
- Citizens of all countries can apply except Korean citizens.
- Applicants who have a bachelor‟s degree cannot apply.
- Applicants who have associate degrees can only apply to a bachelor’s program.
- CGPA should be above 2.64 out of 4, 2.80 out of 4.3, 2.91 out of 4.5, or 3.23 out of 5.0
- The score percentile must be 80 percent or above.
- Should be under the age of 25 years.
- Must be in good health
- No criminal record.
For Result Waiting applicants:
Applicants who are expected to graduate must first submit a certificate of expected graduation at the time of application.
