Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship 2026 (GOI-IES)

Planning to Study in Ireland on a Scholarship? The applications are now open for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship 2026 (GOI-IES). This Scholarship is for international students to pursue a Master’s, Postgraduate Diploma, or PhD programs from the Irish Universities. The GOI-IES Scholarship is funded by the Irish government and the Irish higher education Institutions (HEI). Under this call, 60 scholarships will be given for one year of full-time study at the Irish Universities. The Irish GOI-IES Scholarship 2026 is open to applicants from any field, and the studies will begin in September 2026. Final-year undergraduate students can also apply. Applicants must apply online before the GOI-IES deadline at an eligible Irish Higher Education Institute. More details are below.

Financial Benefits

The Irish Government GOI-IES Scholarship will cover:

  • Stipend: Scholars will receive a €10,000 stipend to cover living expenses and other study-related costs.
  • Tuition Waiver: Full tuition and registration fees will be waived by the University.

Duration

  • One-Year Scholarship: The scholarship is awarded for one academic year only.
  • No Extensions: The scholarship cannot be extended beyond the initial one-year period.
  • Single Award: Once you have received funding for one year, you are not eligible to reapply for a second year.
