UNESCO China Fellowship 2026 (Fully Funded)

The applications are now open for the UNESCO China Fellowship 2026. It is a Fully Funded Fellowship offered by both UNESCO and the Republic of China. That is why it is known as the UNESCO/China Co-Sponsored Fellowships Program. A total of 27 Fellowships are available for students and Researchers. The Objective of the UNESCO China Fellowship is to enable participants to pursue a Master’s or Doctoral degree program at a Chinese university or undertake individual research under assigned supervisors in China. There is no application Fee for this Program, and applicants from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and the Arab region are welcome to apply. The Academic Period will start in September 2026. This Fully Funded Scholarship in China, funded by UNESCO and the Chinese Government. More details are below.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The UNESCO China Fellowship is open to people from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and the Arab. (List of countries is mentioned below).
  • General Scholar applicants must possess a high school diploma and be under 45 years of age.
  • Senior Scholar applicants must hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent academic position and be under 50 years of age.
  • English proficiency is required.
  • Master’s Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
  • Doctoral Applicants must possess a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
