The Applications are open to apply for the UNITAR Communications Traineeship 2025. It is a Paid Training program at the UNITAR headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The Duration of the Traineeship is six months. The Position is open to candidates from around the world. All trainees will travel to Geneva. UNUTAR Trainees will receive a Monthly amount of (900 CHF) towards the Cost of Transportation and miscellaneous costs. They have to cover other things in their expenses. Financial Benefits
Trainees will receive a Monthly Stipend of 900 CHF (961 Euros) as of 29th May 2025, and they will get a Hands-on experience with the United Nations.
Responsibilities and Services
- Draft and edit communication materials (social media, web content, newsletters, reports), aligning with UNITAR’s strategy.
- Assist with social media campaigns for international days to maximize engagement.
- Gather content for communication materials.
- Collaborate with the Division for Peace on PDTA communication scheduling.
- Contribute to the development and editing of internal reports (quarterly, annual).
- Help update and improve the PDTA website with engaging, high-quality content.
- Provide administrative support (meetings, digital files, internal documents).
- Offer logistical support for communication activities.
- Assist in drafting a communication plan for PDTA activities.
- Provide additional support as needed.

Eligibility Criteria
- Hold a university degree in communication, media studies, journalism, public relations, marketing, international relations, social science, human rights, or a related discipline.
- Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate program, OR have graduated within the last two years in one of these fields.
- Be fluent in both written and spoken English and French.
- Basic Computer Proficiency: Proficient in basic computer applications (online tools, word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, internet).
