Features of the ADB YPP
- A fixed contract of 3 years.
- Young professionals will initially be placed in an operation and support department at the ADB headquarters in Manila, Philippines, and will learn about the ADB work.
- After 18 months, YPs will be assigned to another location where ADB works.
- ADB’s aim is that when YPs graduate after 3 years of the contract, they choose to stay at ADB if they want, and have a bright career in the future.
- Young professionals will be a part of the structured talent management program and will contribute to the achievement of ADB’s Strategy 2030.

Responsibilities of a Young Professional (YP)
Strategy and Planning
- Contribute to the development of ADB’s policy and strategy.
- Apply your expertise to support research and analysis, including the development impact of ADB operations.
Project Management
- Assist in the development, processing, and administration of non-complex loans, grants, and TA projects.
- Ensure ADB’s policies and guidelines are integrated into project design and implementation.
Knowledge Sharing
- Contribute to ADB’s efforts in advocacy, knowledge sharing, and capacity building.

Eligibility Criteria
- The ADB Young Professionals program is open to the nationals of ADB member countries.
- Must have completed a bachelor’s degree.
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Environment, Law, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field.
- A postgraduate degree or equivalent is preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience. Note that internships can count as work experience too.
- Experience in areas related to ADB’s operations is advantageous.
- Must be under 32 years old when joining ADB.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
