How to Study in Hungary Without IELTS?

Many options have been introduced, so you can just ignore the IELTS:

  • Medium of Instruction Certificate: Get a document from your previous school stating English was the main language of instruction. It is known as English Language Proficiency Proof.
  • Consider other English proficiency exams: Take the TOEFL, PTE Academic, Cambridge English exams (C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency), or the Duolingo English Test. Many universities accept these instead of IELTS.
  • Check for university-specific options: Some universities have their English tests or interviews. Contact them to see if this applies to your program.
  • From English-Speaking Country: Applicants from an English-speaking country do not require any English Language Test. Such countries are the UK, Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand etc.
