The WPI Fellowship invites International applicants from all around the world to explore the US Media, Culture, politics, and issues of the day. The Objective of the World Press Institute Fellowship is to advance the Journalism experience and the Free flow of Ideas and to deepen the knowledge and skills to broaden the professional horizons. Fellows will learn about U.S. history, current affairs, challenges faced by the U.S. media, and Social, Economic, and Political Issues. Fellows will share their experiences and visit different Media Outlets in Washington, DC, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, and more. This is a Fully Funded Fellowship for 9 weeks. Number of Fellowships
The World Press Institute will select 10 Fellows from all around the world.
Eligibility Criteria
- The WPI Fellowship 2026 is open to all Nationals.
- The Applicant must be a Non-US Resident
- 5+ Years of Journalism Experience: In print, broadcast, or online media (excluding student work).
- News/editorial roles, photojournalism, cartooning, writing, and production. Supervisors are eligible if they also have 5+ years as journalists.
- Fluency in English, leadership potential.
